Maintain bulletin boards with job postings, articles, flyers, etc. Make contacts, maintain relationships with employers, organize employers visiting campus, lead workshops, post job openings on website, help organize career fairs (both live and online). Give presentations to classes, at orientation and meetings regarding Career Services roles, goals and upcoming events. Compile monthly placement report as well as compile numbers for quarterly corporate reports. Daily use of MS Office, Microsoft Outlook, internet, search engines, fax machine, copier.
May-November 2004 Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park Wildwood, Mo
Position: Seasonal Naturalist
Duties: Assisted visitors to the park, answered questions, answered telephone calls, managed information desk, developed and delivered programs for the general public, schools, camps, and private organizations regarding the natural and cultural resources of the park as well as developing displays and exhibits regarding these resources, developed and organized park activities for the general public, as well as rewrote the script to the park slideshow. After supervisor left in July, took over tasks of scheduling and compiling monthly report. These duties included work with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
1999-2004 Various Part-Time Positions
I have also worked at part-time sales associate positions for Gordmans, Shop \\\\\\\'N Save, and Casey\\\\\\\'s General Store and as a part-time activity assistant with Rockwood School District\\\\\\\'s Adventure Club throughout high school and college. The sales-oriented positions have helped me develop useful communication skills, while the daycare position helped me develop as a team player and organizer. By incorporating many different functions, these positions also helped me build effective multi-tasking skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
Activities:
-Served as the editor for two different newsletters with the popular writing community writing.com. Both newsletters covered various areas of creative writing and included writing one article per issue.
-Completed Imagine 21 Pacific Institute Seminar in April of 2005.
