I worked closely with the RSA (Risk Strategy and Analytics – modeling team) team to support their data requirements. I worked on number of assignments which were oriented towards the portfolio management. This involved maintaining existing reports, creation of new reports, maintaining existing SAS datamarts, developing new SAS datamarts as per the requirements.

I worked on number of assignments for the Consumer lending marketing team. The work involved following of different marketing campaigns – DM (Direct Mail), ITA(Invitation to apply), CLI(portfolio credit line increase), LC (Live Check) etc.
We created complex SAS DB2 datamarts which have important information about the past and present marketing campaigns. This work was utilized for Risk Strategy and Analytics purpose, to find out: Profitability of the campaigns, to determine the cost drivers, to forecast the profitability of future campaigns, to come up with better marketing strategies for the campaigns.
Summary of the work:

Thsi project was developed for the client Toshiba Finance (TF) I had a chance to work on various areas like LASS (Loan Accounting), CASS (Card Accounting). I was sent to Tokyo (CSC-JPN) for duration of 3 months. I worked at the client location to do enhancement work related to the online system.
Summary of the work: •Worked on Interface File task which dealt with creation of the interface files needed by Toshiba finance. •Worked on modifications of CIS screens. •Involved in UAT bath runs. I was awarded “Certificate of Achievement”, for completing 12 problem logs in a month. I also received appreciation from the client while working on the interface task.

OnDemand, IBM Jan 2004 - Mar 2004: Deputy Team lead
This project dealt in customizing an IBM Tool called ONDEMAND for the client HSBC.
Summary of the work: •Wrote COBOL DB2 programs to extract data from files, spool and to store it in DB2 tables, did their testing in mock regions and the documentation. •Also got exposure to do managerial tasks like distribution of the work to the team members, getting various issues solved by communicating directly with the client.

This project dealt with the maintenance of the various databases for HSBC NA (formerly known as Household group). I worked on up gradation from Whirl5.8 to Whirl 8.0 task.
Summary of the work: •Did analysis of the system in order to find out affected modules like source codes, copybooks, PROCs, JCLs, Control cards. •Involved in modifying of the affected modules as well as writing new codes. •Did testing by conducting batch runs in the mock regions. •Wrote SAS SQL code to create test reports for SAS DB2 components.
Auto 500, Sep. 2002 – Mar. 2003: Team Member
It was completely a development project, which required us to automate the entire system of Automobile Finance at HSBC NA. It was developed from the scratch and required working on the demographic as well as the loan accounting part.
Summary of the work: •Developed COBOL DB2 programs to update demographic information of the clients, as per the functional and technical specifications •Involved in the testing of the code in mock regions. •Wrote development JCLs, documentation of the testing. •Review of the codes developed by team members.
