PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN

1. Quality control processing of Recombinant Proteins at DR.REDDY'S LABORATORIES-HYDERABAD in 2006.
This involved use of SDS PAGE for purification of recombinant proteins. These were then subjected to western blotting. Samples were checked from all the stages of purification.

2. Development of a method for detection of Replication Competent Retroviral Genes in Recombinant Proteins at DR.REDDY'S LABORATORIES-HYDERABAD in 2006.
This involved an asay called as RCR assay. Here different samples were checked for the presence of retroviral genes in the recombinant protein. This is a PCR based technique.

DISSERTATION

Development of a method for Host Cell DNA Estimation by NON-RADIOACTIVE HYBRIDIZATION method at DR.REDDY'S LABORATORIES-HYDERABAD in 2006.

This dissertation involved the use of DIG-Anti DIG antibodies (Non Radioactive Hybridization), for detection of Residual Host Cell DNA.The detection was done by Dot Blot Method. The probes were initially DIG labeled, which were hybridized to the E.coli DNA which was extracted earlier and was blotted on Nylon membrane. They were later on detected by using Anti DIG antibodies, which gave purple colour dots after detection. Different dilutions of DNA were blotted to detect the residual DNA in the Samples.
