Quality Management and Special Projects Administrator. Full-time salaried and part-time consultant: Supervised 10 employees: Professional, paraprofessional and support staff

Research and Outcomes; Client Information, Case Reviews; Policies and Procedures Management; Risk Management; Strategic Planning; Agency Resource/Programs Development; Total Quality Management (TQM) Implementation; oversight of Contract/Grant compliance, Licensures and Certifications compliance; and Re-accreditation and accreditation compliance; Departmental Budget Management; and Agency-wide Training Program.

• Coordinated the Agency’s re-accreditation for 2002 and 2006 (which resulted in 100% compliance to accreditation standards)
• Served as Interim Executive Director to facilitate a formal partnership/affiliation with a Transitional Housing Program which resulted in over $65,000.00 reduction of operating expenses for that program during the first 3 months of leadership.
• Wrote professional training curriculum that included basic, core and advanced competencies which resulted in the establishment of a training program that addressed new employee orientation, management and supervision, clinical, case management, and support staff professional competencies.
• Designed, developed, and implemented: databases for organizational strategic planning; personnel evaluation systems; the organizational policies and procedures manual; program specific procedural manuals; the Risk Management system; Client information management procedures, reporting systems, forms and the client record (content and structure)- reduced forms from over 1600 to under 300.
• Provided technical assistance for the CEO and Board of Directors regarding strategic planning; and the Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) in the development of its Program Improvement Plan in response to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service, Children and Family Service Review (CFSR).
• Provided program evaluations and consultation for the re-accreditation of Saint Mary’s Home for Children, Tides Family Services and Home-based Therapeutic Services (HBTS) certification for John Hope Settlement House.
• Created and implemented Family Service of Rhode Island’s Community Emergency Response team which resulted in successful liaisons with the American Red Cross, local and state FEMA organizations; the creation of Agency’s Trauma Center; Affiliations and partnerships with Yale University, the RI DCYF Child Protection Services, and the Providence Police Department’s Child Development/Community Policing Program.
