Objective My objective about teaching pre-school is one of using many forms of liberal arts. Children learn by doing and experiencing... I t is my firm belief that children will learn through play, art, music and movement. In order to educate young minds in the p[re-school years one must have a true understanding and a nurturing disposition in order to bring out a child’s natural eagerness to learn. Many children come to school lacking social skills such as sharing, waiting their turns, and playing in regard to others feelings .and rules of a game and these are the children that need kindness patience, patience and the most nurturing, However once social skills are practiced and routines are in order children gain a feeling of confidence , fairness and a higher self-esteem, they feel they have control over their small environment, that is why I emphasize routines, it gives children guidelines that keep them feeling secure within their environment. Children then can begin the formal learning practices that will follow them throughout the entire length of their educational process. It is a rewarding experience to help mold a child to respect themselves and others and to see the emergence of interest in formal learning. I also have experience with the older child I am able to instruct and guide all ages of children and enjoy them at every stage of their education from the very young to the high school student.
Volunteer experience I have bee active with the PTO at Resica elementary school for several years I have been class mother to Sue Czahor Kindergarten teacher, class mother to Robin Walker 1st grade teacher, and to Dr. Sally Viney 2nd grade teacher. I am also involved with the JT Lambert PTSA chaperoning trips, dances and assisting whenever possible. I had volunteered with our local cub scouts for 3 years the troop has since been reorganized and I taught Religion for St. John’s Roman Catholic Church for 2 years.
Security clearance I have all clearances present and up to date, and also have certification in CPR-AED, First Aid, and have completed CPI trained successfully.
