Industrial Training

Has undergone one month Industrial training at LUPIN Ltd. Pharma
plant-2 , Mandideep, M.P in the quality control department.

Has undergone three and a half months project training on “Stability
of a recombinantly produced therapeutic cytokine protein under
different environmental stress conditions” from the department of
Biotechnology, Zydus research center, Ahmedabad as a part of
Project dissertation.

Experimental Skills

Biochemistry: Quantitative estimation of DNA- Diphenylamine method, RNA-Orcinol method, Protein- Lowry’s, Bradford’s and BCA method, Carbohydrates- reducing and non reducing sugar, Fats- Cholesterol. Isoelectric focusing (IEF) of proteins. Polypeptide profiling of proteins by SDS-PAGE.

Genetic Engineering: Isolation of plasmid DNA from E.coli, electrophoresis (agarose gel) & its restriction digestion, extraction of DNA & RNA from plant cell.

Enzymology: preparation of enzyme extract, determination of kinetic properties (Km & Vmax), enzyme purification by salt precipitation, immobilization via entrapment, determination of activity.
Immunology: ELISA-determination of antibody titer, double immunodiffusion, Immunoelectrophoresis, Immunoblotting (western blotting).

Instrumentation: Centrifuge, pH meter, UV-visible Spectrophotometer.

Microbiology: Measurement of bacterial & fungal growth, isolation & enumeration of microorganisms from air & soil by agar plating, antibiotic sensitivity test.
Cell & tissue culture: Embryo & explant culture.

Bioprocess technology: Estimation of growth & product yield in a bioconversion process, enzyme biosynthesis & measurement of it’s activity.

Chromatography: Paper, TLC, HPLC and HP-SEC.

5.Secured 2nd position in Barkatullah University Merit list in B.Sc exam-2005-06.

6.Secured 1st position in college in B.Sc-1st, 2nd & 3rd year university exam.

7.Participated in National seminar on environmental pollution & sustainable development sponsored by UGC, MAPCOST & MP pollution control board at Sri Sathya Sai college for women, Bhopal
