Selected Achievements:
Served as principal legislative/budget advisor and strategist to Chairman and Subcommittee Chairman for defense and intelligence counteproliferation/nonproliferation matters, counterterrorism and special operations, and international security policy associated with arms control treaties and use of military forces in United Nations and NATO operations. Formulated and drafted national and international security legislation in area of responsibility for Chairman.
Drafted recommendations for legislation authorizing the use of Department of Defense assets to protect against the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction (homeland security); establishment of a Joint Service Chem/Bio Defense program; DoD Counterproliferation Support Program and DoD/FBI/Customs Service Counterproliferation Program, and Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Program.
Served as the Chairmans representative to the Bipartisan Leadership Group on Arms Control, NATO Enlargement and Export of Militarily Critical Technologies to China.
