Project Description:
My project work was consists of two parts

Mathematical modelling of caspase pathway.
Apoptosis is an important physiological process crucially involved in development and homeostasis of multicellular organisms. I have modeled the caspase, which is the aspartate-directed cysteine proteases cleaves the protein plays an important role in the apoptosis..

Simulation of caspase pathway.
Simulation of this pathway shows the degradation of the caspase protein and its inhibited by IAP, which is the inhibitor of apoptosis. In my project work i have studied caspase protein and its inhibition by IAP.

The pharmacophore conastrcution for berberine with caspase.
Berberine, an isoquinoline plant alkaloid, is known to generate a wide variety of biochemical and pharmacological effects. Finally I have studied the pharmacophore construction of berberine with the caspase.

Bio-Informatics Literacy

• Knowledge of Bio-Informatics tools like Clustal W, Multalign, Interpro, Mast Meme,
Clustal X, n-n predict, Prosite, e-motif, P-fam, BLAST, Phylodendron, etc.
• Knowledge of Homology based protein modelling using the software MODELLER,
HOMOLOGY.
• Docking analysis of peptide-DNA complexes and Peptide-peptide complexes using
Hex , Argus lab and Autodock Softwares.
• Mathematical modellling and simulation of metabolic pathway using the tools
Gepasi, Copasi, Cell designer,
