Description

The Client has an enterprise wide data warehouse that caters to the reporting and analytical needs of the entire organization. This Data warehouse contains data pertaining to sales, inventory, debtors and logistics. The project involved creation of a reporting layer on this Data warehouse using Business Object Suite of Products. This involved designing and creating the Reports. Reports created involved Sales profile reports, Sales value reports, slow moving stock report, and Receipts reports, Dispatches Reports etc.

Description

This company deals with manufacturing of shoe uppers and exporting to foreign countries. All standard types of stock movements (e.g. Goods Receipts, Goods Issued, and Adjustments etc.) are catered for. Future demand, by week or month is calculated from the forward order demand suitably expanded for assemblies and taking into account manufacturing and purchase lead times. Stock control provided for finished parts ensuring that relevant tractability data is stored per batch. Its part number issue level identifies all stock. The inventory details deals with the details of materials, name of supplier, quantity, Price, unit and date of arrivals. Full Transaction movement history is maintained for all parts and their associated batches. The project is aided at gathering efficient, accurate and updated reports, which would help the management to take timely actions.
