Client Profile: The Krishna Knitwear Technology Limited was promoted by Shri Ram Pratap Tayal in 1958, and has since expanded to US $500 million plus turnover Group. The major Group Companies is presently engaged in the manufacture of cotton yarn, polyester yarn, knitted fabrics and garments with processing facilities for knitted and woven fabrics. Knitwear is the highest value-added cotton-based industry in India. In the last 15 years, it has matured enough to manufacture brands like Levi’s, Ralph Lauren, Polo, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein etc.
Roles & Responsibilities: FI- GL, AR, AP & CO- CEA, CCA
· Configuration - Involved in SAP R/3 configurations in configuration server. Mapping of business process in FI module. Involved in customizing and configuring Global and organization structures, in FI module using IMG. Some key settings were client company code, business area, master records, transactions, chart of accounts, document types, financial statements, planning and reports.
· General Ledger (GL): Involved in configuration of GL accounting. Created Chart of Accounts and allocated company codes to chart of accounts and consequent creation of Master records for the same. Preparation of the financial statement version leading to the generation of the final account statements namely, the balance sheet and profit & Loss account.
· Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable (AR & AP): Involved in configuration of AR and AP. Created customer and vendor accounts, was associated with finance team for configuration of business transactions involving incoming and outgoing invoices, credit memos and clearing open items
· Bank Accounting: House Banks, payment programs and had configured clearing open items in GL/AR/AP
· Controlling (CO): Controlling Area, Cost Elements, Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Centre Accouting (PCA), Profitability Analysis (COPA), Internal Orders.
· Testing - In sandbox server tested SAP FI module dummy data to validate integration. Created sales orders and then checked transaction flow of accounting documents and their posting in GL accounts.
· Training - Participated in training sessions of FI module, which covered basic IMG settings, customizing and master data creation in the above modules, understanding the interfaces with SD and MM modules.
