Due to my performance during previous two and a half years I was promoted as Project Engineer. During this period undertaken the responsibility of Government tenders negotiation with various Government Department Execution of Government projects like Government Centres Residential Colonies School Mosques. These type of projects were tendered and executed independently. Also led a team of two junior engineers 4 civil foreman and 200 workers other than this many sub-contractors and their staff. Attended meeting of Director General level complete negotiation of projects preparation of construction Schedules and raise bills to departments.
During this period Government projects executed like two Government Centres two school Buildings Civil works of power station automatic irrigation system for 15 thousand trees one public garden and two water supply projects.
FROM DED. 1987 TO SEPT. 1991 : AT TAWAKUL CONTRACTING CO.SALALAH S. OF OMAN
POSITION : CHIEF CIVIL ENGINEER
I was very happy to get head position of Engineering Section of Company as a Chief Engineer. Rather there were many challenges to face but I was very confident and faced challenges with great success.
It was total responsibility to lead Company in all aspects. During this period there were many challenges to run construction company due to hard time in the Gulf. -2
There was tough competition tendering of Government projects. Even though due to long experience and experience it was excellent stand of Company in tendering and execution of projects with good margin of profit.
During this period five major projects were executed like one Government Centre One Mosque Complex on school building one colony of 60 villas and one culture centre.
Also 6 private villas each about 6 to 8 thousand Sq. ft. were tendered and executed independently.
I had a civil wing of about 350 workers including 3 Civil Engineers One Mechanical Engineer and One Electrical Engineer. Dealt with various Government Department like Public Work Department Ministry of Defence Ministry of Royal Diwan agriculture and Fisheries Ministry of Health Education and Water supply and Transport etc.
Also dealt with many consultants, Arab Clients and sub-contractors.
Ultimately Company was in great profit even though there was hard time for construction industry in the Gulf.
In Sept. 1991 I left Sultanate of Oman and join a Construction Company in U.A.E. at Dubai.
