Executive Overview:
Responsible for the integrity of the financial information for this registered investment advisor as well as the fund accounting and investor reporting for the funds and separate accounts offered to institutional clients and high net worth individuals with investments in the US, Pan-Europe and Pan-Asia. Recruited and trained staff and upgraded financial and administrative infrastructure to support the expansion of the investment advisory business. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, annual GAAP and tax based financial statements for the consolidated Advisor and for the funds, management reporting, regulatory reporting and Sarbanes Oxley certification.
 Complete administration of Registered 1940 Act Fund. Additionally, this effort included extensive work with external counsel and internal compliance officer to restructure the funds design that previously.
 Financial Reporting including consolidating and non-consolidating entities. Analysis for financial disclosure included analysis and documentation regarding FAS 140, FIN 46R, EITF 04-5 and EITF 99-20.
 Established and executed a plan for SEC readiness in conjunction with CCO to ensure that all policies, procedures and documentation in place for SEC Advisor examination.

Executive Overview: Hold full authority over all services provided to alternative investment/hedge fund and private equity fund clients including back office operations of 400 funds as well as daily, monthly and annual accounting, administration, investor servicing, regulatory reporting and tax reporting for more than 40 clients such as Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, Citibank, PaineWebber, GAM, RockCreek, Soros. Manage business development and client relationship activities and maintained P&L management over line of business, budgeting and forecasting activities. Directed activities of risk management department in escalation of business risk and analysis of new services and associated risks.

▪ Played pivotal role in increasing assets from $350M to more than $35B during tenure, with consistent profitable margins realized after five years as startup division; grew department from staff of 4 to over 250.
▪ Grew business through the addition of new products and service offering developments such as domestic long short equity funds, derivative based hedge funds and private equity funds.
▪ Realized reduced FTE per fund from 1.3 to 1.7 in two years through variety of operational and technology efficiency improvements.
▪ Significantly improved performance, productivity and quality of programs through variety of initiatives including:
 Selection/implementation of new general ledger and tax reporting systems as well as new software for partnership allocations
 Selection/implementation of accounting system for private equity, real estate and venture capital funds.

 Design of new client boarding process as well as investor reporting platform that provided reporting via the web, the only platform of this kind that effectively managed registered hybrid hedge funds.

▪ Cultivated and solidified key strategic relationships with risk reporting service providers and numerous pricing vendors that contributed to improved operating efficiencies of 75% over four years.
▪ Contributed to improved client /partner performance and productivity by managing client conversions from their internal systems or other service providers by offering project oversight, strategy and staffing requirements. Partners include Oppenheimer, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Rock Creek. Specific results / activities included:
 $5M in annual revenue via Merrill Lynch conversion from other service provider.
 Profitability gained from numerous strategic negotiations including alliances with Hedgefund.net, RiskMetrics, Advent and Sunguard as external vendors
▪ Coordinated conversion of all new systems including selecting of new tax and partnership allocation programs including Sunguard’s Investier for fund of private equity funds and hedge funds. Developed proprietary technology utilized for investor reporting and tracking.
▪ Developed necessary technology to support the country’s first 1940 act registered hedge fund including compliance tracking and retail type investor base support.
▪ Successfully spearheaded change in policy regarding non-lending of hedge funds by developing this line of business which is currently key component of overall financial services strategy. Company recently lifted restriction for fund of funds and FX processing.

Charged with managing 18 Equity Funds and 63 private placements; corporation managed 35 funds with approximately 365 investments and fund totals of approximately $3B in committed gross equity. Functions including cash management, bridge loan financing, capital call for investors, preparation of consolidated quarterly financial statements and management of internal rate of return. Managed staff of 12 including six CPAs and six junior/administrative staff.
