Worked previously with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals India Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai, as Medical Writer for one year. During my tenure with Pfizer, I was involved with writing documents for regulatory submission for reporting on clinical trials of all phases for USFDA for Pfizer India Ltd. I have also worked on a number of therapeutic areas including oncology, hepatology, infectious disease, inflammation and neuropathic pain. I have worked on 10 CSRs in total including three Phase III and seven Phase 1 studies. I have also worked on HIV related drugs. I have a good knowledge of documentum electronic publishing system and electronic submission, preparation, review and approval of clinical study reports, quality control of CSRs through Quality Gate 5 and of Good Clinical Practices and ICH-E3.

Prior to working with Pfizer, I was working with Chronicle Pharmabiz as a Sub-Editor where I was responsible for writing and editing articles, manuscripts and abstracts for the company’s news letter and website.

ACHIEVEMENTS

I have always been interested in Para medical sciences and have pursued my post graduation in Bio chemistry.

Attended an intensive industrial training with Indian Organic Chemicals Limited at Khopoli, in their Research & Development Laboratory and Quality Control Laboratory. I have had the opportunity of working with the latest equipments in their various Laboratories and have prepared and standardised solutions and indicators. I have also worked on calibration of Gas Chromatograph (GC) and UV-VIS Spectrophotometer and the HPLC.

Complete knowledge of Microsoft Office and Internet tools.

I have been working on Computers for over seven years now and am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

Presented a Seminar on Nutraceuticals in the First year of M.Sc. It was an “in-house” seminar presented to the faculty of Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College, Sion. I have also attended seminars in K.J.Somiya College.

Also presented a Research paper “Effect of Soy proteins on Endogenous hormones” from the American Clinical Journal of Nutrition 2002.

Submitted a Project Report on “Prevalence of Hypomagnesemia in general population: Pilot Study” which was a part of my curriculum. It was a study conducted to determine the prevalence of Hypomagnesaemia in the general population along with other biological parameters, which includes Calcium, Total Protein and Albumin. The conclusion of the study was that Hypomagnesemia, Hypocalcaemia, Hypoalbumeina are interrelated and deficiency of one can lead to the deficiency of the other. Although this cannot be seen in mild Hypomagnesemia, it is advisable to supplement Magnesium in conditions of pregnancy, diabetes or when there is a long-term intravenous administration.

Represented my college in Brouhaha (Inter college festival) at Sydenham College as an Assistant Contingent Leader.

Worked for National Service Scheme for two years wherein I took part in Road Shows and Dramas.

My Strengths:

I am a very strong-willed and determined person with a willingness to learn. I possess good communication skills and have an ability to convince people. I am good listener and can very easily interact with people.

Family background:

Father is in Managerial position with a leading public limited company in their Corporate Office in Mumbai.

Mother is housewife and is a successful homemaker.

Younger Brother is a B.Com. graduate and passed Professional Education II Examination from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in both the groups in the first attempt. He is currently doing his internship with M/s. Haribhakti & Company, Chartered Accountants.

Career Ambition :

I am very keen to work in Pharma industry and would like to be associated with Research and Development. I am looking to expand my knowledge and expertise in Medical Writing.
