Worked with Dr. Ray Weil at the request of the Rotary Club (USA) in Chiapas,
Mexico, evaluating soils and crops of the Tarahumara Indians. Project involved
emphasizing the importance of women’s roles in food production (farming), and
making recommendations on educating them in the area of soil remediation and
healthier crop growth. I also served as interpreter for Dr. Weil (Spanish/English,
English/Spanish).
Volunteer with US Park service in DC area, organizing clean up of DC after mayor events. (Cherie Blossom Festival, July 4th celebration etc.).
