Created a highly complex multi functional application using MS ACCESS to support a team of 5 people.
Followed the complete systems development life cycle process by, writing requirements, creating a database schema, creating a prototype, performing both QA and UAT testing and installation.
The system is currently in production.

Senior Business Analyst supporting the Appeals and Grievances department
Maintained Appeals and Grievance applications using MS ACCESS, SQL and Visual Basic to support a team of over 20 appeals and grievance analysts who used these systems 24x7.
Defined functional and technical requirements, performed trouble-shooting, designed and developed new MS ACCESS databases and database modifications, wrote test plans, trained users to test and use new and enhanced systems.
Created and presented barrier/analysis reports pertaining to appeals and grievance trends using EXCEL to business management.
Performed data analysis and converted member ids (SSNO) to alternate member ids for all of the MS ACCESS databases used by Appeals and Grievances.
Worked with business users, programmers, testing staff, and database administrators to develop database requirements, test plans and database schemas to transition MS ACCESS databases to SQL Server.

Served as Project lead for a brand-new $100 million Offshore Outsourcing initiative across three business units within Fleet: Wholesale, Consumer and Corporate Information Systems. Authored the CMM Compliant Process Methodology document used by management to fulfill Fleets offshore program requirements. Authored the Offshore CMM compliant Generic Risk Assessment used to rank risk exposure to offshore Fleets business applications.

Managed QA Test Team to test Fleets SEIBEL based Relationship Management INTRANET application. Responsibilities included Project management; writing test plans and test scripts, troubleshooting, and reviewing functional and technical requirements. Central role working across the entire project team comprised of designers, developers and customers.

Managed Fleets UAT Test Teams to test the award winning www.filetrust.com application. Using functional and technical requirements, wrote test plan and test scripts to test.

Senior Software Engineer
Worked with team comprised of SAIC, the FAA, the DOT and AT&T to develop software using UNIX and SQL/ORACLE to reduce FAA U.S. telecommunication costs.
Created a copy of the FAA transportation database to design a work-around to extract missed data caused by missing foreign keys. The reports generated from the replicated database became the standard reports used to shut down unused FAA phone circuits.
Received an award from the FAA for my efforts which helped lower our national budget.
MITRE Corporation, Bedford, MA 1984 1994
Project lead/Business Analyst/Developer
Designed and developed multi-faceted inventory tracking and technical support system, which contained 64 sub-functions. System tracked inventory, repair, location, costs, parts and manufacturers of PC s. The system contained an authorization function that gave supervisors the capability to selectively allocate individual sub-functions to their staff members. Worked with approximately 30 customers from different areas of the company and supervised 5 full time, experienced programmers to develop the system which was delivered on time and within budget.
Designed and developed MITREs Personal Security System. This system was used 24x7 to track personal security clearances and history.
Designed and developed MITREs Human Resources System.
Re-engineered the Mission Critical Outgoing Security Visit Request system used by over 400 secretaries. This system was used 24x7 to create and track documentation engineers needed to visit other secure sites.

Authored/Published functional requirements for Classified Document Tracking system. This system was used by MITRE to track classified documents.
Wrote the functional requirements for a Publications and Graphics system. This system was used to track the intake, design, development and distribution of MITREs publications and graphics
Wrote the functional requirements for a Warehouse/Inventory Tracking system. This system was used to track materials used for building prototypes.
GTE Corporation Westborough MA. 1980 - 1984

Designed and developed a complex Classified Materials Tracking system used by 2 branches of GTE on time and within budget. This 24x7 Mission Critical system tracked data linking classified documents to people.
Security business users stated that this system set the standard for the industry to track classified materials.
