• Molecular techniques: PCR , gel electrophoresis, Elisa methods. Isolation of DNA and DNA purification.SDS-PAGE,protein purification techniques, Recombinant DNA technology.

• Effect of antimicrobial activity of yeast against bacteria. The study included isolation of yeast from various natural sources, to check antimicrobial activity of yeast against bacteria from the clinical specimens, isolation of the yeast antimicrobial toxin against bacteria, purification of the toxin and protein estimation.
• comparison of antimicrobial susceptibility of Pseudomonas using newer and routine antipseudomonads.detection of hemolysin activity, protease and lipase activity .Drug resistance mechanisms like Extended spectrum beta lactamase activity and inducible spectrum beta lactamase activity was also studied.

Educational Qualification:

• M.Phil in Biotechnology, Alagappa University in 2006-2007

• Post graduation in Microbiology in 2001-2003 at OUAT, Bhubaneswar, Orissa

• Undergone a training on Recombinant DNA technology,protein purification and molecular techniques at Bangalore genei in 2004.

Experience:
• Currently pursuing M.phil in Biotechnology from Alagappa university

• Worked as a microbiologist in Sahara diagnostics ,Berhampur ,Orissa, june 2003 to Oct 2004.
• Worked as a Microbiologist at Santosh Diagnostic and Scan center, Bangalore from November 2004 to July 2005.

I got distinction in painting from young talents of India in 1993.

I was awarded with a gold medal in painting in 1994 on all India basis.

I came first in the elocution competition conducted by southern command, IAF, Thiruvanthapuram.

I represented southern command (south India, IAF), in elocution competition conducted at Delhi in National Level, 1995 – 96.
