Project description: WMI Based Authentication with GSM Id Notification
ABSTRACT
The major problem in network today is security. Network is more prone to unauthorized access by intruders/hackers. To avoid this, the network security server enabled with WMI recognition and short message services authenticates Person’s first by username and password.TheGSM service uses authentication Module to send the 8 byte authentication
Session a alphanumeric code each time the user login. This dynamically generated session code would be passed on to user’s mobile through SMS &same would be used as ‘GSMPIN ‘to accesses the system.since,a new ‘GSMPIN’ being generated each time, user logs in thus user has security to his/her system. If he/she is a valid user, then the server authenticates his/her to use the system or else the user will not be authenticate.
A WMI sever is a pure interoperability service on Visual Studio.Net using c# as
Programming language.WMI server is having two Main modules one is server and another is client.
The concept of ‘GSM logic for security system’ no dout would protect the interest of the user of the system in a network. “We are adding up GSMID as a key feature”.
To upload a file you will be asked a key, manually the user enters a key and upload the file to server. User will have to enter the same key to download the file from server. If the key is wrong access will not be granted and a SMS will be sent to user as “Unauthorized user is trying to download (filename) File”
In case of username, password being stolen by intruder he cannot access the system because without GSMPIN the intruder cannot login to the system and the SMS would be sent automatically to the authenticate user’ mobile. This would enable the original user to act swiftly in order to avoid his System being misutilized.
