• First Union/Corestates conversion - Data Transmissions
• Visualized an automated cross platform system to track transmissions across multiple platforms. Presented the plan to executive leadership. The plan was then implemented under my direction. Proposed and directed 3 REXX programmers in developing an automated report which reads the system logs from 3 cross platform sites and the extract of the IMS database for the transmissions here in Philadelphia. This report is generated each hour giving the collect and distribute times for each platform involved in a particular transmission for each customer. Alarms are generated for those transmissions in a late status.
• Traveled to Jacksonville, Florida in the midst of an operational emergency to both calm the situation with senior management, research and rectify the problems. After doing analysis, the function was returned to Philadelphia and the automated transmission operational staff was rehired under my supervision.
• Functioned as the manager of the data transmission operations team. These transmissions are for wholesale customers for large funds and are critical. Dealt effectively with many multi-million dollar customers having problems and offered after hours support for any customer whether external or internal.
CoreStates Independent Consultant-Business liaison /lead analyst/ programmer
• Responsible for Loan Collateral System – requirements gathering and system design including IMS/DC design and programming. Worked very closely with the client community to gather their needs and interpret them into an effective system. This allowed the client to move collateral within and across all banks combined as Corestates.
• Meridian/CoreStates conversion – extensive research and client interaction both internally and externally.

CoreStates (PNB) Project Manager- Business liaison / lead analyst/ programmer
• Project Manager responsible for the research and development of new systems on the IBM 30XX under OS/MVS using IMS DB/DC/DLI/BMP, MFS, TSO/ISPF and VS COBOL.
• Interfaced extensively with users to determine requirements and resolve problems on all systems. Project involvement spanned inception through installation, enhancements and support.
• Project Manager responsible for user interface, analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of an on-line Payroll/Human Resource system using IMS DB/DC and COBOL. This on-line, data entry, inquiry, and update system interfaced with the OS batch Genesys system. Responsible for IMS database design. System consisted of approximately 30 IMS/DC and 15 IMS/BMP and batch modules.
• Project Manager responsible for user interface, analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation of an on-line Automated COUPON System using IMS DB/DC and COBOL. System was developed from the initial DB design forward.
• Modification, enhancement and implementation of the DISC “IRS” reporting system.
Wilmington Trust Independent Consultant-Senior analyst/ programmer
• Year 2000 changes for IMS DB/DC programs. Project included converting from COBOL-68 to MVS COBOL prior to modifying for Y2K changes. Y2K changes included removing statically called date routines and replacing them with Y2K MVS dynamically called date routines. The dates that were previously defined as S9(6)comp-3 were modified to S9(7) comp-3 with the high order digit indicating the century. Dates defined as 8 bytes containing the century had windowing logic applied.
• Tax changes applied for regulatory modifications. Included updates to both IMS DB and DC programs. Minimal changes to MFS.
