1993-2001:Branch Computerisation
• Responsible for branch computerization. Parameterized new systems for consolidation of new business and accounts work, policy loan records & policy premium records. Handled records for 50000 policies, within a span of 30 days and cleared 1000 error records. Integration of our front end and back end was done under my supervision.
• Handled policy servicing for the branch, with the number of policies in the range of 50000.

i993 : Opening a new divisional office
• Managed the re-organization of the claims department, divisional office, Bangalore2 when it was opened.
• Developed control systems and basic records for the division. This involved setting up base records, bifurcation of pending death claim files, building up MIS for the new divisional office and affiliated branches.
• Established control systems for speed ratios and percentage of outstanding claim for the branches attached to divisional office.
• The claims department organised was recognised as the best organised department by Senior Management.

1992-1993 : Sales Division
• Appraisal of development officers’ performance. Assessing payment of incentive bonus depending on the premium income, number of lives & number of agents appointed.
• Responsible for approvals connected with licensing of Agents based on their qualification, age and marketing skills.
• Assessment of performance depending on the number of lives insured, amount of premium income and the type of plan they have sold. Payment of commission to agents, motivating & counseling them.

1991-1992-Accounts department:
• Handled funds and cash management of the branch, preparation of budgets, control of variations, reconciliation’s of bank accounts, head office reconciliation etc.
• Created provisions for contingent liabilities, depreciation calculations, preparing assets, policy loan, policy deposits and proposal deposit schedules.
• Supervised preparation of balance sheet of the branch.

1989-1990-Claims department:
• Handled claims for branch. Major achievement was bringing the outstanding under maturity claim to only 0.2%.
• Successful in settling 85.2% of the maturity claims before due dates.
• With regard to death claims 95.2% of them were settled within 75 days. The percentage outstanding was only 1.4 %.

1988-1989 : Office Management:
• Exposure to registration for shops and establishment,
• Organised infrastructure facilities, garden layout & amenities for the office.
• Handled general purchases and employee salaries.

1986-1988 : Claims
• Over 1000 long pending cases were cleared me due to my excellent public relations skills and constant follow up.

1982-1986 : New Business
• I have underwritten endowment & whole life plans on various lives.
• The work also involved preparation of policy bonds. It involved coordination with the development officers for timely submission of proposal papers to speed up underwriting.
• During this period I was involved in recruitment of career agents.

1975-1982-Legal and Mortgages
During the 7 years,
• Handled loan appraisals, sanctions and recoveries.
• Processed applications of loan
• Arranged inspection of property inspection, valuation etc.
• Responsible for loan recoveries.

1974-1975- CLAIMS AND REVIVALS:
• Booking of intimations, calculation of claim amounts, basic sum assured & bonus and settlement of claims.
• Dealt with customers for clearing of the outstanding claims through constant reminders and notices
