JOB PROFILE

My current job involves two profiles with two different divisions as under:

A. Content Development Division

· Quality Check on abstracts received from home based workers for onward upload to database hosts like Factiva, Reuters, FT.COM and Lexis Nexis.
· Creating abstracts for news items published in National Business publications of India.
· Documentation and trouble shooting support for Subscription Management Software developed in house for the subscription division.
· Data Management for all the contents that arrive from home based workers and indexing the records to create a database for upload to the Financial Hosts.

B. Electronic Database Subscription Division

Ø Attending to customer queries, processing orders, transmitting orders to publishers, and raising invoices/bills to customers.
Ø Following up with the supplier for products ordered.
Ø Coordination with the sales team for renewals.
Ø Coordination with marketing team for mailers and proposals.
Ø Keeping track of sales proposals and marketing initiatives.
Ø Checking up the material received with the purchase order, giving it for inspection, proper storage of materials.
Ø Preparing Remittance statements for foreign currency purchase from bank.
Ø Updating the foreign exchange rates into the Software
Ø Converting foreign currency to Indian Rupees, applying current exchange rates
Ø Forwarding purchase orders to supplier
Ø Attending to Customer queries, generating pro-forma invoices, registering of Orders, transmission of Orders to respective Publishers, raising Final Invoices and following up with customers for payments. On fulfillment of orders, catering to customer complaints/specific requests
Ø Keeping track of the outstanding payments from the customers.
Ø Facilitating online access to the databases through IP authentication of passwords as provided by the database host.
Ø Monitoring usage statistics of the online databases sold by the company.
Ø Ensuring renewals of the online databases on time by providing renewal intimation.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE

Well versed in operating systems like Windows 98, MS Office Tools like Excel, Word and PowerPoint and SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE: Subscription Management System and internally developed Sales Monitoring Software.
