eMerge
This application supports the procurement organization to manage catalogues. eMerge helps to validate the formal catalogue quality as well as to identify any changes compared to the previous catalogue version. Catalogues will be made available to the requisitioning process only after the responsible Buyer has approved them.

BugsEye by Requisite
This application is linked to EBP and eMerge and allows requestors to search through product catalogues. BugsEye comes with a very powerful search engine, which supports various search methods, like free text search, search by attribute etc. After finding the items, requestors fill their shopping basket, which is then transferred back to EBP for further processing such as approval.

EBP (Enterprise Buyer Professional) by SAP
This web based application is designed to support the requisitioning and approval process. Requestors use this system to formulate their Purchase Requisitions (PR). Workflows are implemented, which then route the PR to the cost center responsible for approval. Under certain circumstances, the PR is also routed to the responsible Buyer for approval. After all approvals the PR is turned into a Purchase Order and submitted to the respective supplier via auto-fax. After delivery, the author of the PR will perform the goods-receipt, using EBP.

Description:

Navionics Engineering is a branch in India with the head office named GEONAV in Italy. We develop software for the Plotters developed at Navionics Technologies. The Plotters developed at Navionics Technologies are used in boats in various parts of the world. They help people traveling in the boats to locate their exact position in the Seas, Rivers and Lakes with the help of the information from the GPS. Plotters give various other information like the nearest ports and various other facilities (like Medical, General etc) available at the ports.

A software product and the libraries used to make the Plotters work were developed and are being used by various people in the world. The present product is planned to add a new feature called Anti-Collision, a new feature that warns the user of possible collisions with objects that are dangerous to the ship. This functionality will be available both during the navigation and the planning phases.

Role :

• Prepared Software Requirements Specification(SRS) from the Product Functional Specification(PFS).
• Prepared High level Design Document and Detailed Design Document.
• Created a Proof of Concept.
• Developed and Tested the Anti-Collision Alarm module involves searching the anti-collision objects from the XF2 file.

Project : Anchor Alarm
Client : GEONAV, Italy

DESCRIPTION

The present product is planned to add a new feature called Anchor Alarm, to manage this function the Setup menu has to be changed and the new Anchor Alarm functionality shall be managed. Anchor Alarm module involves that when the ship is resting at a certain position when the anchor is placed to make the ship rest, due to wind if the ship moves so that should be acknowledged to the captain with anchor alarm. It is the most priority message from the message queues it should be raised first and foremost. So by receiving the latitude / longitude positions of the ship from the GPS when anchor was fixed, the application should keep checking the current position of the ship with Anchor fixed position, if the ship crosses the specified distance the Anchor Alarm should be raised.

• Preparation of Software Requirements Specification from the Product Functional Specification.
• Preparation of High level Design Document and Detailed Design Document.

• Developed and Tested the Anchor Alarm module involves allowing the user to be warned whenever the vessel drifts from its anchor point more than a specified distance.
