Project Experience
Software Implementation for Warehouse management
The Existing Warehouse Module was upgraded to new sofware called Voyager.The front end is on forms6i and DB is on Oracle 8i on Win2K. This system is the central warehouse for all brands intended to connect the various dealers across the country to a central database.

Installed Oracle on Win 2k,created users,Involved in designing tables.
Migrating data from old system to new using PL/SQL.
System Analysis,extensive interaction with software vendor as a single point contact for all software issues.
Providing test database to the programmers.
Monitoring performance issues of DB,created indexes,Backup and Recovery plans for 24x7 databases,wrote backup scripts.

In-house MIS module for a Marketing/Commercial organisation
A Detailed MIS module was designed and prepared which gave detailed analysis of Customer ageing and Stock Ageing.This system involved collection of data from all Carry Forward Agents(CFAs) across India. This was to be consolidated at one centralised location. Data is received in text format from all over India through mail or floppy from a legacy based application.This involved collection and storing large amount of data on a daily basis.

Warehouse system Maintenance for a manufacturing organisation
Warehouse Module was split from the main 'Fabrica'-supply chain software due to excise duty regulation. Took charge of Warehouse systems and Stores systems,fine tuned warehouse system reports-Dispatch Module,Receipt of finished goods from Shop floor Module & Job Workers,Return Inwards,Invoices,Good Receipt Notes,Delivery Challans modules.

Installed Oracle 8i on Win NT,Maintaining DB,backup scripts.
Modified forms to take in new changes,handled system crash.
Merged stock on hand reports with sales reports which enabled Supply chain to identify exact sku levely thereby enabling a sound production plan.

This was the production module designed to meet the requirements for the Production and planning control.
