BOUT MYSELFAs a Canadian Post Graduate in Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs, I believe I have been exposed to the most specialized and advanced course available today in India in the field of Clinical Research and Regulatory Affairs. Having qualified in Pharmacy, Alternative Medicine and Clinical Research, I believe, my unique education and experience can be of immense help to the emerging and dynamic field of Clinical Research in India. Prior to the Government of India becoming a signatory to the GATT and the TRIPS Agreement, I was focused primarily on lecturing and clinical practice in dental colleges, which helped me fine-tune my interpersonal, and communication skills. I have also presented papers and actively participated in various educational seminars. During my research work at IFCR-India, I chaired a group of six research scholars and lead them in Journal Clubs and Topic Presentations, which gave me valuable insights on Group dynamics and on how to organize and work as a team. My work experience has exposed me to the skills of reporting, tour planning, maintenance of documents, planning, monitoring, handling crisis, negotiation, mediation and dispute resolution management and suggested remedial measures wherever necessary. I have always executed my work on time and never missed a deadline, and hence I could maintain excellent relationship with my superiors and subordinates alike. I am proficient in the usage of MS word, MS excel, MS power point, Internet, SPSS, Epi Info and am quite comfortable with sourcing and handling data electronically. I have also learnt the importance of time management. My scholarship at IFCR-India has helped me grow as a person with values and qualities making me apt for the research field. I fully believe that the high quality, focused international research curriculum of YCIT/ IFCR has prepared me to realize my dream of becoming a researcher of global standards.
